First in the Council

Troop 1 was started on February 19, 1923 with 19 charter members. Troop 1 was the first Boy Scout Troop in the Old Dominion Area Council, which merged in 1992 with the Peninsula Council to form the Colonial Virginia Council.
The troop is chartered by Main Street United Methodist Church, 202 N. Main Street, Suffolk, VA.
We meet every Tuesday at Main Street Methodist Church from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
We have a year-round program with at least one outing per month. Our troop is a Scout-run troop. The Scouts plan and execute their own program.
Boy Scouts is for boys generally between the ages of 11 and 17. For boys between the ages of 6 and 10, check out the opportunities at Cub Scout Pack 1.
